Before cleaning your sensor, please consult your camera’s manual for instructions on exposing the sensor. Ensure that your camera battery is fully charged, and that any loose dust or particles have been gently removed using a blower or brush. Once you’ve reviewed the manual and watched our video demonstration, you’re ready to begin the cleaning process.
To use, gently drag one side of the swab across the sensor in a single, firm motion. Then, repeat the process in the opposite direction using the clean side of the swab. Discard the swab after use. If necessary, repeat the process with a new swab. Once finished, release the shutter and reattach the lens.
Do not remove the swab from its plastic packaging until you are ready to use it. Contaminants on the swab can damage the sensor—so always store it in the original packaging and discard it immediately after use.
Note: The use of zoom lenses or bellows can increase the amount of debris in the sensor area, which may require more frequent cleaning. When used as directed, Sensor Swab® ULTRA is safe, effective, and delivers excellent results.
