Portrait, Close-up and Macro shoots with one lens!

The Canon EF 100mm F/2.8 L IS USM Macro lens is Amazing!
There are many technical opinions, but I am just an artist and being a woman, I solely like a lens by the quality of my images and the actual results from my shoot.
I can shoot close-ups and macro photographs of Jewellery, Portrait and Macro Beauty and also flowers with only one lens and I can get the DOF I need. The images are sharp and I can capture stunning close-up shots without the need of a tripod. I feel that if your budget is a bit tight, you can shoot different art with the one lens. I have a 50mm and also a 24-107mm in my kit, but the 100mm Macro lens is my favourite.

Super lens

Lovely lens, I have used it for portrait shots as well as macro photography. Super fast lens. I also like the fact that it is not too heavy, especially when running around chasing insects. It is great in that you don't have to get too close to insects and disturb them, while taking the photo.

Thought it couldn't get better? It did.

I loved the old Canon EF 100mm - it was an excellent partner and trusted friend.
The EF 100mm f/2.8L IS has a slightly more plastic feel, but the superb quality of the glass and the wonderful image stabiliser makes it even better than its predecessor.
Excellent for close-ups. Great for food photography. A great choice for studio portraits and stock stills.
A must-have for your camera bag.
