What is a neutral density filter?

The purpose of this Benro SHD ND16 IR ULCA WMC filter is to reduce the amount of light entering the lens (4-stop reduction). Doing so will allow you to select combinations of aperture, exposure time and sensor sensitivity that would otherwise produce over-exposed pictures. In other words, the ND16 filter will allow you to shoot at your desired aperture and shutter speed giving you space to create beautiful slow shutter speed photographs. It will also give you a beautiful contrast to your images.
